Photojournalist Bruce Crippen has been creating unique images of life in the greater Cincinnati area for more than 25 years. The challenges of working as a photographer at three daily newspapers and on hundreds of freelance assignments have given me the experience and ability to find a storytelling image in any situation.
A member of the National Press Photographers Association, Bruce was a contract photographer for the America 24/7 book project and won the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists Best Photographer award in 1998.

My philosophy is simple. The more fun you have at your wedding, the better your pictures will be.
I work quickly, quietly and efficiently, recording spontaneous events throughout the day. I follow you individually and together as you prepare for your ceremony, say your vows, and party with the people who are important in your lives. Before you go to the reception, we’ll take about a half hour to photograph you, your wedding party and families.
Without the interference of posing or staged shots, I allow the events of the day flow naturally. Available light is the preferred light source, but a little flash is used when necessary.
You will probably be able to view your proofs online while you are on your honeymoon. And when you are ready, we’ll meet and I will help you design a one of a kind album that tells the story of your wedding day.

“I hardly remember you being there.”
I can’t remember who said it, but it sounds like an insult. In retrospect, it is one of the best compliments I’ve ever received.
“Of all the people we hired to help with our wedding, we thought what you provided was the best.”
Debbie & David K.
“ I can’t tell you how many people asked, where did you find this guy?”
Wayne & Mary Linn M.
“What can I say? You made the most incredible day of my life a huge success. The day was relaxed for me because I knew you were going to get it all.”
Sue & Dale M.
“Thank you for coming to our wedding and being the best photographer ever!”
Aubrey & Patrick K.
“We want to thank you very much for capturing all the joy of our wedding. Your pictures are truly beautiful and will always be treasured.”
Barbara & Bob L.
“Everyone loved the pictures, and we’ve shown them to everyone! You did a GREAT job.”
Beth & Rob S.

From recreational youth sporting events and portraits to the Final Four and the Super Bowl, I’ve been there. I photograph portraits in the studio and on the sidelines, and action and reaction on the field. I’m equipped with location lighting and camera equipment to shoot almost any event.

Location, location, location. That’s where the best portraits are. I can shoot a headshot in a studio, but to capture a personality, I find the best portraits are in an individual’s environment doing the things he or she most enjoys. Offer me a challenge and I’ll provide a selection of memorable images that will provide a lifetime of memories.

Producing storytelling images for daily publications is where I’ve spent my photographic career. From United States presidents (every one since Nixon), sporting events, studio images of food and products, fires, accidents, riots, floods, plane crashes, kids in school, animals at the zoo, society events and the arts, I can’t think of a photographic challenge I haven’t encountered.

I produce quality digital images for your website, brochure, in-house publication or advertising campaign. From traditional, straightforward portraits, manufacturing processes, or building shots to off beat conceptual images for your business, I’ll make your staff and facility stand out.
